These Terms of Service govern the working relationship between you ("Client") and me, an independent freelancer operating under the name Hakktech ("I", "me", "my"). By engaging my services, you agree to these terms.
Hakktech is a freelance operation — not a company, agency, or firm. You are hiring an individual developer to build or improve your digital product. All work is carried out by me personally unless otherwise agreed in writing.
I provide the following services:
The scope of each project is defined and agreed upon before work begins. Any additions or changes to the scope may affect the timeline and price.
Upon receipt of full payment:
I retain the right to use the project in my portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing. I do not retain ownership of any custom work built specifically for you once payment is complete.
Third-party tools, libraries, or templates used in your project remain under their respective licenses.
I treat all client information as confidential. I will not share, sell, or disclose your project details, business information, or credentials to any third party without your permission, unless required by law.
This obligation continues for 2 years after the end of our engagement.
To keep the project on track, I ask that you:
Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds as agreed upfront. Requests that fall outside the original scope — new features, significant redesigns, added pages — will be quoted separately before work proceeds.
I offer a short bug-fix window after delivery (typically 14–30 days, agreed per project) to address any issues that arise from the work delivered. This does not cover new feature requests, third-party failures, or changes caused by external updates.
Ongoing maintenance or support beyond that window is available and can be arranged separately.
If you cancel a project after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. Any work completed beyond the deposit value will be invoiced proportionally. You will receive all completed work up to that point.
I reserve the right to end an engagement if: payment is significantly overdue, communication has broken down entirely, or the project requires me to produce something unethical or illegal. In that case, I will refund any portion of prepaid fees that corresponds to undelivered work.
I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of deliverables — including lost revenue, data loss, or business disruption. My total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific project in question.
I am also not responsible for issues caused by third-party services, hosting providers, or changes you make to the project after delivery.
These terms apply to all projects unless a separate written agreement is in place. In case of a conflict, the separate agreement takes precedence.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Disputes will be addressed through good-faith discussion first before any escalation.
If you have any questions about these terms before we start working together, just reach out.
