Security Policy

Last Updated: April 2026

This policy explains how I handle the security of work, data, and communications as an independent freelancer operating under the Hakktech name.

1. My Commitment

I take the security of your project and data seriously. Every project I work on follows responsible practices to protect client information, credentials, and source code throughout our engagement.

  • ✓ Secure handling of all client credentials and access
  • ✓ Encrypted communications for sensitive exchanges
  • ✓ Safe coding practices to avoid common vulnerabilities
  • ✓ No sharing of client data with third parties

2. Data Handling

Any data, credentials, or confidential information you share with me for the purpose of completing a project is handled with care:

  • ✓ Credentials are never stored in plain text or committed to version control
  • ✓ Access is revoked or handed back at the end of a project
  • ✓ I use environment variables and secret managers where applicable
  • ✓ Project files are stored securely and not shared publicly

3. Secure Development Practices

All code I deliver is written with security in mind:

  • Input Validation: User inputs are validated and sanitized to prevent injection attacks
  • Authentication: Secure auth patterns (hashed passwords, tokens, session management)
  • Dependencies: I keep third-party packages up to date and avoid known vulnerable libraries
  • HTTPS: All sites are deployed with HTTPS enabled
  • Access Control: Proper role-based restrictions are implemented where needed

4. Communications

For sensitive information such as API keys, passwords, or database credentials:

  • ✓ Please avoid sending these over plain email
  • ✓ Prefer using a secure tool like a password manager share link or an encrypted message
  • ✓ I will never ask for more access than is necessary for the work

5. Website & Contact Form Security

This website collects only the information you voluntarily provide through the contact form (name, email, message). That data is:

  • ✓ Used only to respond to your inquiry
  • ✓ Not sold, shared, or used for marketing without consent
  • ✓ Transmitted securely via HTTPS

6. Reporting a Security Issue

If you notice a security concern related to this website or a project I delivered, please reach out directly:

📧 [email protected]

I take all reports seriously and will respond as quickly as possible to investigate and address the issue.
